38. CLEVELAND SHOW, MARCH 4, 1907. ( H.A. DANIELS) AERIAL SMITHS: Man and woman in a corking good swinging trapeze act. They are so well liked in Cleveland that they could close the show. Full stage. 9 minutes. HAMILTON HILL: Australian Baritone. This man sang three songs and scored a hit. He appeared to be in excellent voice and his selections were well chosen. A Very pleasant surprise. Drop in one. 10 minutes. ALBERT HELLMAN AND LOTTIE MOORE; Character Sketch Entitled, " A Bit Of Vaudeville". With the aid of wigs, songs, and some dialogues they present the seven ages of man and woman. They closed their act with their old bowery dance which sent them off to a good hand. C. D. F. 20 minutes. SMITH AND CAMPBELL: Songs and stories. This team went well in spots . I have been repeatedly told in New York, what an awful hit this act makes in the East, and I have played them out here in the " Tall Grass", and have seen a practical demonstration of their weakness as far as Cleveland is concerned. There is a lot of stuff in the act that the people in Cleveland do not want. They went well to-day but were far from being a hit, and are not worth the money for this house. Drop in one. 21 minutes. BROWN, HARRIS AND BROWN: Two men and a woman in a crazy singing and talking act that is nameless. For some reason they did not seem to land them very hard to-day although they gained considerable strength towards the close of the act, and managed to get off nicely at the finish Full stage. Close in one. 24 minutes. CAPT. GEORGE AUGER & CO.: " Jack the Giant Killer". This Company consists of the Giant, full grown woman and two midgets. I believe there were three midgets when the act was presented in New York, and I think we are paying just as much money as if we were playing the entire Company. The act went well to-day and will please the children throughout the week. C.D.F.. 23 Minutes. KATIK BARRY: The feature of the bill. The real hit as far as applause is concerned, however most of the stuff she did was the same that she had to offer last year. Drop in one.13 minutes. THE ONLAW TRIO: Two men and a woman. The two men work on pedestals and held a slackkwire in their teeth, on which the woman performs. The act is not strong enough to close the show. It is a pretty act and the artists are clever in their line of work, but the act lacks action. It should go all right in second or third position, but should not be used to close the show. Full stage. 9 minutes.
