The bill this week contains some very exc Report on show, Keith's Theatre, Providence, R. I., Week of March 181, 1907. (Chas. Lovenberg, Mgr.) The bill this week contins some very excellent features which should draw money. In the big end, it also contains a couple of acts we might be better off without. The 3-a-day section - as a whole - is quite good. The bill in its entirety is hardly worth the money that we are paying for it, and if we could back up Macy & Hall, Bellclaire Bros., Hyams & McIntyre and Rafayette's Dogs with a number of newer features that we have where the acts are good and better where they are now, the show would be worth a good deal more to us, at probably less cost. Mr. & Mrs. O'Brien. I had been led to expect that this act was so awfully bad that I was most agreeably disappointed. I don't want to give the impression that this is a splendid act, but there is no reason in my mind qhy it should not be played in the continuous houses. They make a good appearance, some of their stuff is new and they get away with it in fairly good style. Thoroughly all right in this spot. 14 min. in 1, 3 shows. Murphy, Whitman & Co. Two men, two women in a rural sketch which contains a great deal of merit and is quite well played as a whole. The men of the company are quite decent actors and one woman is also pretty fair. The act could stand a little bit better place on the bill than I am able to give it. 17 min. full stage, 3 shows Lowenberg Sisters. These young girls, nieces of mine, are presenting a new act, this being its second week. I was very much surprised at it myself. I think I have heretofore probably been their severest critic, and I must say in this case that they have really a very striking offering, certainly far better than most Sister Acts that we play, such as the Rooney Sisters and others of that class, altho it does not resemble, in any sense, acts of this kind. There are a number of changes of costume and dances of various kinds and a Patriotic finish. The girls look very handsome , and the wardrobe is really exceedingly handsome. Regardless of the fact that they are related to me, I want to say that any house that plays them will get a real good act. About right up to 8.30 in the 2-a-day houses. 14 min. in 1. They are doing 3 shows now, whether or not they will continue to do so, I can't say. With their present offering I don't think they will have to very long. Ed Estus. Equilibrist. Act has been described before. Nice novelty but rather quiet and lets down a little at the finish. However it is very good in a small way. 8 in. full stage, 3 shows. Hodges & [illegible] Well-known colored act that always goes well here. 15 min. in 1, 3 shows. Six Mowatts. The Mowatts have played for us so much, always doing exactly the same tricks, that they have ceased to have any value, as they fill so little time and not an act that we can feature because of contant repetition. By no means worth the money to us altho to places where they hav not been, it would be a very striking feature. 8 min. full stage, 3 shows. Bertie Herron. I can't say that I am very much impressed with Miss Herron's act other than for the novelty of her blacking up in view of the audience. In the 3-a-day section and going on before 8 o'clock she would be thoroughly all right. I can't see her for anything better 12 min. in 1, 2 shows. that I look for to pull business. 11 min. full stage, 2 shows. Motion Pictures. O. K.
