218 Nedd Hastings. Cleveland, Ohio. Aug. 26, '07. LE CLAIR & [BOWEN?]. Open full stage, close in one. Time 12 minutes. Two men. This is a burlesque acrobatic 1 act which introduces good material which was appreciated by the audience Monday afternoon. This house has not had a better opener for a long time. BILLY BEARD. Comedy, black-face, in one. Time 13 minutes. Mr. Beard has a good voice and uses it in his parodies with considerably success. His monologue, however, is poor and contains many old jokes. The act went fair CARLETTA. Full stage, special fantastic set, with green lights on most of the time. Time 14 Minutes. An exceptionally good contortionist. Billing himself the "Human Dragon". The act is fascinating and keeps the audience guessing. LA PETITE MIGNON. This little girl is really clever, and she made a thorough hit here Monday afternoon. Her singing voice is full and strong and well trained. Her imitations of well known legitimate stars took the house by storm, bringing three enchores. Time 10 minutes. TOBIN SISTERS. Full stage, two women. Time 16 minutes. This is a high class instrumental act, which introduces various odd instruments as well as the more familiar ones. A banjo solo is the big feature with the audience. These two young women have fine stage deportments and appearance. Several enchores. Interior set, door center.fancy VALERIE BERGERE & CO. Miss Bergere in Jimmie's Experiment" is the head-liner here this week. Her popularity appears to be as great as ever and her work on the stage seems to be greatly improved. The act may be said to be a great big hit. Miss Bergere's personality being to a great extent responsible. Her company is only fair. Full stage interior parlor set, time 25 min. ELINORE SISTERS. In one, [228?] minutes. This act is one of the big hits of the show. It consists of a very funny monologue by Kate Elinore, a couple of good parodies by May Elinore and some clever dialogues by the Sisters. together. The material is bright and new and not above the heads of the audience. Three enchores. THE FOUR EVERETTES. Full stage, two men, two women, time 12 minutes. This a novelty acrobatic feature which introduces many difficult and skillful feats. The men do practically all the good work and the women can be said to be little more than assistants. The work is done quickly and the attention of the audience is held to the curtain. It make a good act to close.
