Columbus Show Week Sept. 9th. -- 1907. W. W. Prosser. CARLETTA: "The Human Dragoon" A novelty contortion act and a good one. Made a very substantial success. 9 minutes special set. [WERDEN?] & TAYLOR: Man and woman doing illustrated songs. -- The pictures are good as to coloring and the remainder of the act is of the conventional order. -- Not a good act for this house on account of innumerable picture and songs here of the five cent class. -- Mad no impression to speak of and had a tendency to make the show drag. --Don't want this act again or in fact any moving picture or illustrated song offering. 17 minutes. MR. & MRS. PERKINS FISHER: "The Half Way House" Same old sketch which made a fair success but nothing big. 17 minutes Special set. CLARICE VANCE: Made a very good impression but far from what I expected taking into consideration the good things I had heard of her in advance. -- She will draw some here however on account of her husband being related to some very prominent local Jewish families. -- She got by as what you would term an ordinary success and that is about all. 10 minutes in one. JAS. KIERNAN & CO. "Taming The Beast" Two men two women. A very poor offering and one that I would not care to play again. -- So far as I can see there is absolutely no excuse for this act. -- Nothing new about it and very ordinarily presented. -- Met with a luke warm reception. 20 minutes C. D. F. BEN WELCH: He saved the show and had it not been for him I would had a hard time of it. -- Even with him I fear that business will go all to pieces with my present week's collection. 17 minutes. GILLETTS DOGS: Pantomime dog act that went very well. -- It is quite a novelty here and scored heavily.-- PICTURES: Good. COMMENT: Rather a weak show and one that will not draw to any great extent unless I am greatly mistaken.
