PITTSBURG, PA. GRAND OPERA HOUSE. MARCH 2d, 08. RENZETTA & LARUE-10 minutes, full stage. Comedy acrobatic act. One of the best three a days we have played-the comedy work being particularly good. FARNON, WILLS & RAMSEY-14 min. in one. 3 shows. Two girls and a man. Singing and dancing. Neat and refined; look pretty and work well. AVOLLO & [OTHELLO?]-11 min full stage-3 shows. Contortion act. The man is an exceptional contortion. The team dresses well and works well. THE CONROYS-15 min. in one. 3 shows. Singing and dancing. A fair act but a trifle old timey. KARTELLA-10 min. Full stage. Slack wire worker. An exceptionally good performer but lacks style and his paraphernalia is in bad condition-depreciating the act about 50%. FOY & CLARK-In Will H. Cressy's "The Spring of Youth". 18 minutes, full stage, special drop and side wings. A screaming farce that will make good any place on the bill. It lacks refinement, however, and litters up the stage. KAY BELFORT-14 min. in one. Miss Belfort goes very ordinary until her last song "The Rake's Progress", which goes very well. Her character work, I do not consider good. BYRON & LANGDON-20 min. full stage. The same old sketch-"The Dude Detective", without a new line but a bigger hit than ever. CHRIS RICHARDS-14 min. in one. Mr. Richards is an exceedingly clever soft shoe dancer and deft juggler of hats and that lets him out. He got away in a soft spot, although in a more difficult place in the afternoon he failed to arouse the audience. JESSIE MILLWARD & CO.-21 min full stage. Dramatic playlet-"The Queen's Messenger". This is an impossible story played in the style of the tragic queens, but earned a fair share of applause. LILLIAN SHAW-14 min. in one. Miss Shaw is going very big-taking three and four bows after singing five songs. She is one of the biggest hits of any singing woman we have played in one. March 2d-continued. THE PIANOPHIENDS-28 min. Special set. This act is the best Lasky has given us and although it was seen here not less than a year ago, it scored a success last night. HOWARD & NORTH-16 min. in one. Special drop. The same old sketch-"Those were the Happy Days"-presented in the same unctuous manner and although it has been seen here three or four times, went immensely. DUFFIN-REDCAY TROUPE-8 min. full stage. This is undoubtedly the best aerial acrobatic and bar act we have ever played. It has seven different kind of thrills-concluding with a stunt called "looping the loop", which is a positive sensation. John P. Harris
