GRAND OPERA HOUSE, PITTSBURG. PA., DEC. 21st, 08. PRESTON KENDAKK & CO. - 21 minutes, full stage, in "The Devil". I hope they haven't worse actors where the Devil comes from than Mr. Kendall. I think the sketch and "Devil Kendall: come very nearly being one of the worst acts we have ever played. LYONS & PARKES - 14 minutes, Olio in one. Singers, harpists and dancers: A very good act, going big with us at 2:10 and 8:10. While the act went well, I would not care to play it any later than this. ARTOIS BROTHERS. Full stage, garden. 10 minutes. The best comedy bar act we have ever played. It was a scream from start to finish. GEORGE ARMSTRONG- 12 minutes. Comedian with some very blue parodies. This man cannot be credited with making good; he just gets away. HAWAIIAN TRIO- Special in two, closing in one. Songs, dances and instrumental music. A beautiful set, good singing and instrumental music that is away from all others. The act is a big hit here. HENRIETTA CROSMAN & COM in "Peggy O'Connor". 21 minutes, full stage, interior. Miss Crosman carries five men in her company. This is her first work with the sketch and while I cannot say it is a big hit, it please very well. I have no doubt that with a few weeks work and one or two changes in the cast that she will have a good act. We were unable to judge her drawing power owing to the fact that the four days before Christmas were very bad in all the Pittsburg theatres. JACK WILSON & CO.- 21 minutes. "An Upheaval in Darktown". I consider Jack Wilson one of the best black face comedians we play. The act was as big a hit as ever. THE NOVELLOS- 13 minutes, full stage. A great act. When he played us last season there were several members of the company who laid off. The act is far superior this year. John P. Harris.
