Boston show week November 15, 1909. R. G. Larsen Monday afternoon show Overture. On at 1:50, 13 minutes. Hall Brothers. On at 2:03, 13 minutes full stage. this is a very good opening act, some of the feats of strength and hand balancing, especially the finish, getting applause. Ryan & White. On at 2:16, 9 minutes in 1. These boys are about as clever as any dancers we have had in a long time and got a good hand all through to-day. Mr & Mrs Jimmie Barry. On at 2:24, 23 minutes full stage. They played their old sketch, "Hensfoot Corners," it was hardly lively enough for this spot although it went very well with a fairly good finish in 1. Sam Mahoney in "The Frozen North." On at 2:47, 12 minutes full stage. This act has created a great amount of talk and excited a great deal of interest and this afternoon went as well as ever, although we should have had something more lively than the Barry act preceding it. Amelia Summerville. On at 2:59, 18 minutes in 1. Miss Summerville was disappointing this afternoon. She had rather a hard place but even at that her stuff lacked the freshness and ginger necessary to wake up the audience. Exposition Four. On at 3:15, 17 minutes full stage with close in 1. This well known act will liven up any show and it did that this afternoon. W. C. Fields. On at 3:33, 19 minutes full stage with close in 1. Fields had some trouble with his croquet lawn this morning and was unable to use it this afternoon but went on with his billiard table act and went as good as ever, the comedy end getting plenty of laughs all through. of the best closing acts we have had in a long time is full of life and got lots of laughs and gave the show a good lively windup. Kinetograph. On at 4:30, 18 minutes, splendid pictures of the Pittsburgh Detroit games. Comment. This show with a slight change in the running order placing Miss Summerville further up the bill, should work up much better this evening. Cuts. Exposition Four: "rotten" in Cremo cigar phrase. Billy B. Van: "Don't believe that last report" business with seat of pants, "swell calves" "what the hell" and "man with two seats".
