37 REPORT ON PROVIDENCE SHOW, WEEK OF NOV. 22ND, 1909. Charles Lovenberg, Manager This is a corking good show. While technically there are some little conflictions, the audience does not seem to discover them and practically every thing made a hit. The [Balliets? Balliots?] Man and woman, a very nice appearing young couple, who do some very fine iron jaw work and acrobatic work. A very good act for this spot. 10 Min. F.S. Lightning Hopper Cartoonist. Very clever with the crayon and some comedy touches make it attractive act in One. 10 min. Mr. and Mrs. Esmond In a semi-serious sketch, entitled "The Soldier of Propville". This is a very good playlet, well presented by the actors. Has quite a little comedy touch and I don't see how it can fail to score anywhere. 20 Min. Special Scenery F. S. "Slivers", assisted by Nelson. The well-known pantomimic act, which kept the audience in good humor from start to finish. 20 Min. Special Set, F.S. Cadets de Gascogne Three men and one woman, in an exceedingly good singing act, which made a hit. 14 Min. in One. Hoey & Lee Hebrew comedians. These men have quite a lot of new stuff, all of which is very good. Practically the hit of the show. 18 Min. in One. W. C. Fields Preceded by Holy & Lee. Same act as last season. Scored big. 15 Min. F. S. Can do a short close in One. Top O' The World Dancers and Collie Ballet. This is a very pretty act, which I am glad I have got, particularly on this holiday week. But they did not score the hit here that they have been credited with in other places and had I some other closing act, I would move them up two or three pegs. The audience seemed interested however, and they no doubt will attract us lots of patronage, both from children and adults, but the fact remains that they got about as little applause as anything in the bill. 22 Min. Special Set, F. S. Motion Pictures O.K.
