GRAND OPERA HOUSE, PITTSBURG, PA. DECEMBER 6th, 1909. HARLAN KNIGHT & CO.-28 minutes-full stage. rural comedy-"The Chalk Line". Badly acted, talky and uninteresting. MELNOTTE TWINS & CLAY SMITH-18 minutes in one. An ordinary singing and dancing act. THE SLEEDS- 12 minutes-full stage. Black art pantomimists. Comedy. A decided hit-getting many real laughs. FROSINI- 12 minutes in one. His third visit and a decided hit. OTIS HARLAN & CO. 25 minutes, full stage, with a short close in one. This is an awful act. They get some laughs but from the standpoint of a headliner, impossible. CHAS. LEONARD FLETCHER-18 minutes, opening five minutes in one, closing six minutes in one. Doing about the same class of act as always. They are not enthusing over him as they did formerly. THE CARMOS-12 minutes, full stage. Novelty juggling and balancing act. The best act of the kind we have ever played. Their stage setting is elaborate, there is much class to the act, and they are a decided hit. SMITH & CAMPBELL in "Camping Out". 18 minutes in one. Going very big. One of the best, if not the best, two men talking act in the business. PEDERSON BROS.- 7 minutes, full stage. Ring experts. A great act. DENNIS HARRIS. Report Baltimore Show = Maryland Theatre= Week Of Dec. 6th. 46 Saona = Mr. Saona arrived here Monday and immediately took charge of the theatre. He refused to open the show or to close in one. Consequently he is not working here this week. Juggling Normans = 8 minutes Full Stage= Best club juggling act we have yet played. Brady and Mahoney = Songs and comedy. 16 minutes in 1. This act is not strong enough for big houses. Mabel Bardine & Co. Sketch "Suey Sam" 20 minutes full stage. A nicely played sketch, but the theme does not appeal to our audiences Burt Sheppard = Australian Whip Expert. 12 Minutes full stage. A good novelty that is doing well here and interesting our patrons. Lew Hawkins = Black Face comedy. 18 minutes in 1. Good material and getting by all right. Imperial Musicians. = 20 minutes full stage, close in 1 for 3 minutes. A good act but a little too noisy. Soloists not up to the mark. The act is saved by descriptive number that closes it. Berzac Circus = Full stage 9 Minutes. We have played this act once too often Kinetograph " Good pictures. F.C. Schanberger.
