REPORT ON COLUMBUS SHOW FOR WEEK JAN. 10, 1910. W. W. PROSSER, MGR. THE VIVIANS: Man and woman in a very entertaining and clever exhibition of sharpshooting. All their tricks were very favorably received, they gained the closest attention all the way through and finished strong. A very good act. 18 minutes, wood in 5. GEIGER & WALTERS: Man and woman in a musical act, street piano and violin, which went fairly well all the way through, but wasn't a distinct hit at any time. Gave satisfaction, however, and got along very nicely. Street in 1, 15 minutes. IMRO FOX: Comedy magician who caught on nicely and gained a lot of laughs. His work is most excellently presented and his unique style of executing it had the audience guessing the greater part of the time, and they didn't seem to know whether to take him as a comedian or a magician. Finally they got on to the fact that he was an excellently clever exponent as both and everything went fine. Proved thoroughly interesting all the way through and finished fairly strong. MADDEN & FITZPATRICK: Two men presenting a playlet, "The Turn of the Tide", one doing a straight man-about-town and the other a burglar. During the action of the piece the last named introduces some piano playing that caught on very strong. I was a little bit afraid of this act, having heard in advance that it wasn't especially good, but the boys must be given credit for acquiring the attention of the audience at the rise of the curtain and holding it all the way through without the slightest trouble. There was some very good lines of a comedy order, a distinct element of pathos, and the finish was quite strong. In fact the act was perfectly satisfactory and has the merit of being different from a great many so-called sketches. 28 minutes, C. D. F. in 3. COUNTESS ROSSI & PAULO: In "During the Performance". These two singers present the same act they did her the last time and just about got by. The early part of the act went better than the finish, which was not especially flattering. 11 minutes, olio in 1. PAT ROONEY & MARION BENT: In "At the Newsstand". These two were given a slight reception of welcome upon their entrance and their act was distinctly and easily the hit of the bill. They kept things moving very rapidly, got a lot of laughs, and no fault could be found with them in any manner. They kept things moving very rapidly, got a lot of laughs, and no fault could be found with them in any manner. They took several encores and finished strong. 18 minutes, special set in 2. HERMANY'S ANIMALS: This act consists of a number of trained dogs and cats, and the act is a fairly good offering of its kind. None of the tricks are really out of the ordinary and the most novel part of the act is the paraphernalia which is used in its presentation. It was given attention but didn't make a very strong act to close with. Got by nicely, however, and that is about all. Garden in 5, 8 minutes. MOVING PICTURES: O. K.
