101 REPORT BALTIMORE SHOW - MARYLAND THEATRE = WEEK OF JANUARY 17TH. 1910 [BENNETT?] TRIO = Acrobatic = 9 Minutes Full Stage. A fair little opening Act. [DALE?] & DOYLE = Songs and Dances. One impersonates woman. Hardly strong enough for these big houses. The finish saved it from being a complete failure. finish removal of wig and disclosure of sex. HOMER LIND & CO. = Sketch "The Opera Singer". 25 minutes, Full Stage goes to 1 and finishes fullstage. This act scored heavily. The novelty of its construction and the splendid singing of Lind, together with some good laughs make it a valuable offering. ALF GRANT = Monologuist, 18 minutes in 1. Good material, which is well rendered. Going well. KITAMURA JAPS = Acrobats. 16 minutes, full stage. This is the finest Jap act we have yet had. All working good and fast. Stage settings magnificent. KALMAR & BROWN = Songs and Dances Characteristic. 20 minutes, Full stage, Own set. Close 3 minutes in 1. Our audience like this act better than Rock and Fulton. AUGUSTA GLOSE = 25 Minutes in 1. Musical Monologue. Miss Glose is one of the most artistic offerings we have ever played. She particularly appealed to the dollar section of our audience and I look to her to draw this element during the week. Would that were more acts like hers available. DR. HERMAN = Electro-Hypnotism. 25 minutes full stage. The scientific part of his act is not as effective as Volta's, but the comedy is exceptionally amusing. I might say as strong as Pauline's. His finish is very crude, the idea of having his committee jump and run off the stage is objectionable. I shall try to arrange same differently for rest of week. KINETOGRAPH = Picture French Battleship "Justice" Very Good. Fred. C. Schamberger.
