120 Report of Maryland Theatre, Baltimore Week of Feb. 7th. 1910 Hermany's Animals--10 minutes Full Stage. This is the worst animal act we have ever played. Evans and Lee--9 minutes in 1. Two hard working boys who are good dancers, and hold this spot in good shape. Madden and Fitzpatrick--18 minutes Full Stage. A novel sketch that pleased greatly while the piano playing of Madden is a distinct feature, the act as a whole making a hit. Sadie Jansell--9 minutes in 1. This little lady has certainly gone back, as she just about missed being a failure, while last season she was a hit here. Fitzgerald and his Juggling Girls--12 minutes, Full Stage. A big group of people doing the stereotype club juggling. Nothing in it to warrant the expenditure. Would only make a good opening act. Jane Courthope & Co. 28 minutes, Full Stage. Own Set. Of all the pretentious complete productions, that have been seen in vaudeville, this one takes the prize. The sketch is very interesting and holds the attention throughout. Closed to many curtain calls. Splendid value in this act. Harry Bulger 16 minutes in 1. Bulger sings five comedy songs, the first two in full evening dress, and the others all in comedy make-ups, closing the act with an eccentric dance. Each number received good applause, while the closing dance went strong enough for him to take four bows and make a little speech. While he is no big positive hit for us, I feel the value is here in the name, while his work compares favorable with that of any of the legitimate stars that have gone into vaudeville. I have had a long talk with him and advised using the comedy make-ups all through thus eliminating the dress suit, and I feel that the value of the act will be enhanced fifty percent thereby. From present indications it looks like he will draw us some money, and I am well satisfied with the engagement. Three Ernests 9 minutes Full Stage. The fastest and best comedy acrobatic act we have played in a long while, to my mind, better than the Camille Trio. Closing this show with a scream and tremendous applause. Kinetograph--O.K.
