Feb 21st 1910 KEITH'S HIPPODROME Cleveland, Ohio. Ned Hastings. GALETTI'S BABOONS. Did not appear. 5 MUSICAL Mac LARENS. Time 11. Open F.S. palace, close in 1. 4 young women, 1 man. They play a number of instruments well. They wear kilties and close with a well executed Highland fling and jig. Generally pleasing. MAKARENKO TROUPE. Time 15. F.S. Garden. 3 women, 5 men. Gorgeously costumed. They open with what I imagine is the Russian edition of Grand Opera. It sounds well and gets much applause. They finish with some great wild dancing which took very well all over the house. First class in every particular. Mignonette Kokin. Did not appear. MADDEN & FITZ PATRICK CO. 2 men. C.D.F. Time 28. "The Turn of The Tide." A good comedy sketch ending with a pathetic touch. It gives apt opportunity for a vocal solo and piano playing, both of which are interpolated neatly. SPISSELL BROS & CO. Time 11. F.S. Spec. 3 men, 1 woman. Pantomime and acrobatic comedy. High class material for the line. Laughs frequent. VALERIE BERGERE & CO. Time 25. "The Sultan's Favorite." Special F.S. 3 women, 2 men. Bergere is a great favorite here and hence was greeted with advance applause and encouragement throughout. The sketch is very light and farcical and in my opinion does not give Miss Bergere a chance to display her well known ability to advantage. The theme is novel and the setting highly attractive. LEW HAWKINS. In 1. Time 16. Black face monologist with some songs. Generally poor with one or two bright moments. WILL ROGERS. F.S. woods. Time 10. Male assistant horseback rider. Rogers is an expert lariat manipulator. He has an odd line of comedy conversation that fits in well with his work. He was a hit. HIPPOGRAPH.
