REPORT ON PROVIDENCE SHOW, WEEK OF FEBRUARY 28, 1910. Charles Lovenberg, Manager. This is a dandy good show, with what might be called almost a succession of hits, containing the elements - comedy and music - which usually get the money in this house, with some good novelty acts added. JETTER & ROGERS Skating act, comedy and straight. Very good act for the position and evidently pleased. 10 Min. F. S. Can close in One. HILDA HAWTHORNE Vocalist and ventriloquist. This lady is quite good. Makes a neat appearance, pleasing particularly with her singing. With some better matter for her ventriloquial work she would be really valuable. A very good number two act for any house as it is. 14 Min. in One. LINTON & LAWRENCE In their new act, "The Piano Shop". Which proved a distinct surprise. Personally I would rather have the act than Montgomery & Moore. They have a splendid lot of bright dialogue and some good songs, all well rendered. 18 Min. F. S. BONDINI BROTHERS Accordeon players. A corking good act and a big hit. 18 Min. in One. Audience wanted more. LEO DONNELLY A very clever monologue man, who held this spot satisfactorily. 16 Min. in One. SELMA BRAATZ Well-known girl juggler who did as well as always. 15 Min. F.S. THE QUARTETTE Singers of popular songs, who are always acceptable to our audiences and who today made a big hit. 17 Min. in One "DINKELSPIEL'S CHRISTMAS" As fine a comedy sketch as ever we played in this theatre. To say that it was a success would be putting it very mildly. 23 Min. F.S. BIXLEY & FINK While there was no doubt in my mind that this act would score, I was greatly surprised at the tremendous hit they made in this spot. They have added a burlesque on Melba and Caruso which makes a very strong finish to the act. 17 Min. in One. MLLE. VALLECITA'S LEOPARDS This is a very STRONG act. I refer both to merit and odor. Joking aside, it is a splendid novelty in any house that has never had it or one like it before. It held the audience better than any closing act we have had in a long time and received bounteous applause at the finish. 12 Min. F. S. MOTION PICTURES O.K.
