170 HUDSON THEATRE UNION HILL N.J. Week of March 14, 1910 JOHN C. PEEBLES. 1-STRENGTH BROTHERS. European Equilibrists. A splendid opening act. The two men are neat looking, dress well and do some of the best head and hand balancing I have ever seen. Act will get by in this spot anywhere. Garden in 2. Time 8 min. 2-IRENE SHANNON & CON CONRAD-Bits of Vaudeville. A rather quiet act for this spot and hardly up to the run of acts we usually offer. Conrad's piano playing gets over in good shape and Miss Shannon looks pretty and sings. Olio in 1. Time 11 min. 3-TOM SMITH AND THE THREE PEACHES One of Al Loach's old acts. Smith gets the comedy over in very good shape and his eccentric dancing wins hearty applause. The girls provide considerable of the comedy in their eccentric make-ups and they sing and dance well. A very acceptable offering. C.D.Foy in 3, 11 min. Close in 1, 8 min. 4-"GARDINER & VINCENT, "Winning a Queen." Four people in a novel and amusing comedy act that has many good laughs. Some interesting pictures are utilised [utilized] between the changes of scenes and some novel comic effects are employed. The act went well with the audience. Full stage, special set, 18 min. 5-SULLY FAMILY, "The Suit Case." A typical Searl Allen act that gets over on account of the rapidity with which it is played and not through the acting of the members of the company. Really belongs in a much earlier spot. C.D.Foy in 3, 17 min; close in 1, 5 min. 6-MC DEVITT & KELLY, Eccentric Dancers. As good a dancing act as we have played this season. The boys should confine themselves to dancing, however, and not try to either sing or talk. Street in 1, Time 11 min. 7-BRADNA & DERRICK, Equestrian act. One of the prettiest closing acts we have had this season. The horses present a magnificent appearance and work well. Act was one of the big hits of the bill. Wood in 4, 9 min. Note:- Owing to the dancing finish of the Sully Family conflicting with McDevitt & Kelly moved Sully up #3 tonight. Acts followed in this order: 4, Smith and Peaches; 5, Gardiner & Vincent; 6, McDevitt & Kelley; 7, Bradna & Derrick. While this is a pleasing show it has no particular draft and is not as strong as the programs we are in the habit of offering.
