186 CHASE'S WASHINGTON :-Week Mch. [March] 21st, 1910:- CLAUDE M. [ROODE?] Clever wire artist, doing some new tricks, and good enough act for the middle of a bill. Full stage. GEIGER and WALTERS Geiger does some good work on the violin. In one. REX COMEDY CIRCUS An act similar to Bergac's and every big as good. A hit. Full stage. WILLIAMS and VAN ALSTYNE The boys would have been singing yet if they had responded to the demands of the audience. -:INTERMISSION:- SPALDING and RIEGO High bar, swinging trapeze and springboard performers. They finish a good act with some comedy. Full stage. HOBY and LEE We had them discard their jew makeup, which is a decided improvement, and their work was fully appreciated and secured deserved applause. In one. VALERIE BERGERE and Co. "The Lion Tamer". Miss Bergere never did anything bad, she couldn't, and in this instance surrounded by a large and competent company and carry an elaborate scenic equipment, presenting a play away out of the ordinary, a real production, she outshines and outranks anything in the dramatic line given us this season. Full stage. THE AMERICAN VITAGRAPH Presenting "Our German Cousin" and "The Bee Industry" both of which are pleasing. H. Winnifred De Witt, Manager.
