PROVIDENCE SHOW, WEEK OF MARCH 28, 1910. Charles Levenberg, Mgr. [Manager] The bill evidently gave great satisfaction to the large audience Present at the opening performance. POPE & DOG This is, to my mind, the best single dog set I have seen. It could easily hold a spot much further down the bill. 13 Min. in One. JULIA REDMOND & CO. Comedy sketch. While this is not a great act, it got quite a few laughs and, at the price, is satisfactory. There is no reason for its not being played in any of the smaller cities. 18 Min. F. S. HARRY L. WEBB This fellow is quite good in spots, but handicaps himself by singing a couple of serious songs, which I have requested him to change and thereby I think he will improve his act. 18 Min. in One. EDMUND STANLEY & CO. Scenic singing set. These people have improved thei [their] act by the introduction of a better soprano than they had before and the interpolation of some grand opera numbers instead of the music written especially for the act. To say that they made a big hit would be putting it mildly. There is no question but that they will draw more money into the house than anything else on the bill. 20 Min. F. S. Can close in One. KAUFFMAN BROS. Good lively comedy set. They went exceedingly well but they unquestionably should work in blackface at all times. They are working in white face this week to avoid confliction with another act. 12 Min. in One. MLLE. [MADEMOISELLE] DAZIE This act is too well-known to require comment. It held the audience in rapt attention and got strong applause at the finish. There is no doubt that it will draw money, particularly because of the novelty. 20 Min. F. S. AUGUSTA CLOSE Second appearance this season and met with just as big success as on her previous visit. 17 Min. in One. BEDINI & ARTHUR A bigger hit than on any of their previous visits. 18 Min. Open F.S. close in One. BASEBALLITIS A sketch which has been described in other reports. I was rather afraid of them in this spot, but they got away with it all right and scored a laughing hit. Were they placed in the middle of the bill, they would undoubtedly go much bigger. It is an act that no one need fear to play and should be particularly valuable at this time of year. 20 Min. F. S. MOTION PICTURES O.K.
