REPORT ON PROVIDENCE SHOW, WEEK OF APRIL 18th, 1910. Charles Lovenberg, Manager. The show as a whole plays very well indeed and unless we should happen to have some very hot weather I look for a very good week's business. KESSLER & DUNN Two boys in a comedy singing and dancing act that got by all right in this spot. 12 Min. in One. COWBOY WILLIAMS An act good enough for an opener in any bill in the world. It is fast and he does some very clever juggling. 10. Min. F. S. DOHERTY & HARLOWE Man and woman in singing and travesty act. Very good act for this spot, the woman being particularly clever. 16 Min. in One. SIX MUSICAL NOSSES This act is very well presented as to scenery and costumes and some of their music is pretty good, though not first class. The girl they have singing in the act is a detriment. They got by all right, but were by no means a hit. 17 Min. Open F.S. Close in One. FOUR HOLLAWAYS This act while always good has shown marked improvement since it last played here. They have added an acrobatic comedian who is a wonder, both as to comedy and tumbling. They scored a very big hit. 16 Min. F. S. MACK & WALKER Well-known comedy act in One that did very well indeed, closing to very strong applause. 17 Min. in One. MRS' PATRICK CAMPBELL & CO. These people jumped from Cincinnati to Providence Some of their scenery and costumes were side-tracked en route. They arrived after noon, pretty well played out. By a lot of hustling around, utilizing house scenery and the assistance of a local costumer, they have a performance. Despite all these handicaps, their act was an emphatic hit. The play is exceedingly good and she has surrounded herself by a good company, of which Mrs. Campbell herself is probably the least capable. The Advance sale indicates that the public is interested and that she will draw business. 25 Min. F.S. COOK & LORENZ I was afraid of this act and have been hesitating to book it for some time and now I am sorry I did so. The act contains nothing nut the cheapest kind of tomfoolery and went only mildly in a show where almost every else scored 20 Min. Open and Close in One. ANITA'S MONKEYS These are a lot of very small animals that work upon a long table. They have a lot of clever little tricks and while the act is not ideal for closing, held the spot satisfactorily, thereby enabling me to keep the Hollaways in the middle of the show where they will be of more value. 10 Min. F. S. MOTION PICTURES O.K.
