HUDSON THEATRE UNION HILL JOHN C. PEEBLES. WEEK OF April 25, 1910. FRANK WILSON, The Spinning Cyclist. An excellent opening act for any house in the country. Wilson is a clean-cut looking young chap who does some most difficult stunts on the wheel, working straight all the way through, and going off to good applause. Full stage, 9 min. DORIC TRIO, Eccentric Singers. Three men in a very pleasing vocal act with special drop in 2. Make their appearance attired as cowboys and sing a couple of good songs. Their voices blend nicely and a little comedy is introduced. Make three changes of costume, closing full stage after third number though entire act could be done in 1. The act should be worked as a straight singing act with all attempts at comedy eliminated. Time 15 min. RUBY BAYMOND & CO., "Street Urchins at the Amateur Contest." A well known act that went over in this spot today in excellent shape and closed to strong applause. Street in 1. Time 12 min. FRANK MC CORMACK & CO., "The Night of the Wedding." This act is well known through having been played last season by Mr. McCormack and Adeline Dunlop. Proved the strongest dramatic act we have had this season and took several curtain calls at the finish. The work of the little girl is to be commended and I really look for this act to draw money. Kitchen in 3. Time 19 min. 3 RICHARDSON, "The New Pupil." These people have a very amusing comedy sketch, the member doing the hair-lipped country girl won many laughs from today's audience. A good act for the smaller houses and would get by very nicely in an early spot in a big show. Fancy in 3. Time 18 min. ADVANCE MUSICAL FOUR, Instrumentalists. A very entertaining act offered by four neat appearing young men. Their selections are well chosen and the act was thoroughly enjoyed. Olio in 1. Time 13 min. "THE BARN DANCE." Novelty Singing girl act with Geo. Spink and 15 people. For a first performance this act went exceptionally smooth this afternoon and was enjoyed by the audiences. Act is a trifle rough at present but will work out very nicely and when some lively comedy is injected into the act should prove most acceptable. Spink gets his material over but is handicapped by some pretty ancient gags. Girls look well and work fast. Special in 3. Time 21 min. Can open and close in one.
