PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S DEC. 19 1 Aesop's Fables & topics - Average up to usual. SEALO - (6 mins.) This is a remarkable and interesting novelty. The seal works alone on the stage and goes through a fast routine of tricks. A very good opener. HARRY & GRACE ELLSWORTH - (11 mins.) They have always done well for us and this time went as big as ever, the dancing of the boy scoring especially big. IRVING & JACK KAUFMAN - (17 mins.) These boys have excellent voices and are popular through their connection with phonograph records. They have a good routine of popular songs and registered solidly, singing couple of extra numbers at the Monday matinee. MISS JULIET - (28 mins.) One of the big applause hits of the show. She has improved a lot in the last year or so and has a nicely arranged routine of imitations. She is assisted by a pianist. ARTHUR WEST - (13 mins.) Made avery fair impression, although the spot appeared just a little bit too hard for him. He has a new line of material, which he handles very well and a couple of songs help him considerably. Closed to a fair hand. HARRY CARROLL & CO. - (37 mins.) With almost an entirely new company and a liberal change of song numbers Carroll's act repeated very well for us although this is its third engagement here. It is a fast, snappy musical show with a better arrangement of music than is usual and the company is almost, if not the equal, of the original. VAL & ERNIE STANTION - (17 mins.) Undoubtedly the best two man act of its kind in vaudeville and a sure-fire hit. We have played them two or three time and they have never failed. DALEY, MAC & DALEY - (7 mins.) Rather above the usual roller sketing turn, with some comedy of fair calibre, but a lot of good skating and it did very well in the closing spot. PATHE NEWS - The pictures were up to the usual average. GENERAL REMARKS - For a week-before-Christmas bill this show is thoroughly satisfactory and proved itself both in drawing against the holiday conditions as well as in entertaining quality. -O-
