PROVIDENCE E. F. ALBEE DECEMBER 19, 1921 The show this week is not very good. Some of the acts are good, others are very disappointing and there is no particular strength excepting in the drawing power of two of the acts. CHARLES LOVENBERG SAMAROFF & SONIA - Well known act of Russian dancing, acrobatics and trained dogs. Very good opening act. 7 minutes full stage. CRONIN & HART - Young man and woman with piano who have an act of songs and persiflage. The man of the act was suffering from severe hoarseness which no doubt, handicapped them but with allowance for this, I can only class this as a fair act. 19 minutes in one. PENDER & ARMSTRONG - Two men who do a couple of very sensational acrobatic tricks, a little eccentric dancing and two or three funny stunts by smashing hats. The meritorious part of their act occupies a possible three minutes. The rest of it is dreary waste. 10 minutes in one. SPENCER & WILLIAMS - Eccentric comedian with woman doing straight and a little comedy. The first part of their act got them nothing at all but they got considerable laughter out of the last half of their offering but by very coarse methods indeed. The act takes on more of the aspect of burlesque than refined vaudeville. 17 minutes in one. HARRY KAHNE - In an act of mental gymnatics and mind concentration, something on the order of Kajyama. A very good act indeed. In fact, must be classed as marvelous and made a most decided hit. 22 minutes full stage. GEO. F. MOORE & MARY JAYNE - Mr. Moore is a very clever eccentric comedian and dialectician. Mis Jayne has a pleasing personality, sings well and does her little dance gracefully. They have plenty of good material and secured lots of laughs. An act that is welcome in this house for its merit as well as refinement. 20 minutes in one. GRACE HUFF & CO.- It was natural that Miss Huff should make a big hit in this theatre where she was leading woman of our Stock Company last season. Disregarding that she has a very good sketch with plenty of comedy. The act is well produced and well played by all the members of the Company. No mistake could be made by anyone in playing it and give it an important spot on the program. 20 minutes full stage. THE FOUR OF US - Four men with rather mediocre voices in a quartette offering of songs. 14 minutes in one. THE FOUR CASTING MELLOS - Three men and one woman in an excellent casting act. 5 minutes full stage.
