PROVIDENCE E. F. ALBEE MARCH 6, 1922 We have a fairly good show this week. Most of the acts were liked by the audience and while some of the acts didn't appeal to me very much with the exception of one or two they all got over pretty well. CROSS & SANTORO - Two men in an exceptionally good hand balancing act. 10 minutes open in three close in one. I presume they could do the whole act in one. WALSH & EDWARDS - A young fellow and girl in an act of singing and dancing. Rather light weight. 15 minutes in one. THE BEAUMONT SISTERS & CO - This act brings out some of the old fashions of variety days which the audience seemed to appreciate. 14 minutes full stage close in one. BILLY DALE & CO. - This act was quite a disappointment to me. It dragged considerably in spots and pretty near all the laughs secured were those of jokes very near the edge of things. 20 minutes in one and a half. HARRY JOLSON - The first part of Mr. Jolson's act didn't go very well. From the point where the plant begins to sing it made quite a big hit. He left with very strong applause. 25 minutes in one. MABEL FORD & COMPANY - Good lively dance review with plenty of snap. Pleased very much indeed. 23 minutes full stage. SEED & AUSTIN - This was the big hit of the show. Dave Seed is certainly a very funny comedian and had the audiences screaming. 15 minutes open one and a half close in one. THE BALLIOT FOUR - Showy act by three women and one man of cannon ball juggling and iron jaw work. Good act. 10 minutes full stage.
