PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S April 10th 2 FABLES & TOPICS OF THE DAY - Up to the usual average but neither got more than light applause. MEEHAN'S CANINES - (11 mins.) The usual good opener. Nice routine of tricks, the jumping dogs being especially good. VAN & TYSON - (8 mins.) A man and woman, good dancers. They do a variety of stepping with a few acrobatic stunts mixed in. Do all their work well and held down this spot very nicely. This act could be routed to advantage at a price for next season. LEAVITT & LOCKWOOD - (25 mins.) This act did very well. They have a lot of smart talk, which they handle nicely and their songs got over in good shape. They are assisted by a pianist and some good comedy bits are worked up. Closed strong and had to come back a little enchore bit which closed them with a good laugh. HERSCHEL HENLERE - (20 mins.) We have played this act two or three times and it has always been a good sized comedy hit for us. He was the same this week. He is appearing alone and the act is just as good without the woman and much shorter. TOM WISE & COMPANY in "Memories" - An excellent playlet that gives this well known veteran artist ample opportunities. He makes the most of them and the fine treatment of the roles by Mr. Wise and Miss Mac make the act a real gem. It was given the strictest attention and was liberally applauded. (23 mins.) BEVAN & FLINT - (14 mins.) Man and woman in comedy talking act. The man works in eccentric make-up and handles a variety of "nut" comedy, the woman doing very good stright work. They got a lot of laughs and closed to a big hand. RIGGS & WITCHIE - (21 mins.) Very artistic in staging, dressing and the execution of their various numbers. One of the best acts of this kind we play and it registered a solid hit. RUTH ROYE - (13 mins.) Always a favorite here and she did as well as usual. She has several new songs, good comedy numbers and sings them in her usual eccentric style. Closed to a big hand. HERBERT & DARE - (5 mins.) A two man hand-to-hand balancing act. Have some very good tricks and do them all neatly and cleanly. Did very well in this position. got a warm hand at the finish. PATHE NEWS - Fairly good without any great outstanding feature. GENERAL REMARKS - This bill proved thoroughly satisfactory and went over in good shape against the handicap of very warm weather and Holy Week. conditions. CUTS BEVAN & FLINT - Thumbing nose. RUTH ROYE - "Remarks "Hot cats" and "Hot fish".
