PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S APRIL 17th, 2 FABLES & "TOPICS OF THE DAY" - Both very good and the audience seemed to like them, laughing heartily at the Topics. THE RAMSDELLS & DEYO - (11 mins.) A nice looking dancing act by two girls and a boy. Their dancing is just about fair but the act did very nicely in the opening spot. "SANDY" - (12 mins.) This boy made a good sized applause hit. He has some good songs and a good delivery. His imitations and whistling were well liked. FRANK A. BURT, Assisted my Myrtle Rosedale - (19 mins.) A first rate comedy number that is working in one instead of full stage as they did last year. Burt is an excellent comedian and makes good use of all his material. He held the spot in great shape, closing strong. MISSES DENNIS - (14 mins.) A very classy singing turn by three nice looking girls. They make a very good appearance, sing very well together and their songs are very well chosen. The act is better than it was last year. Closed to a good hand. FLANAGAN & MORRISON - ((20 mins.) One of the best novelties we have seen in a long time. It will appeal especially to anyone who is interested in golf and it has enough comedy mixed in with some trick shooting to enliven the act all the way through. It is very well handled and was much appreciated. MARION HARRIS - (21 mins.) A big applause winner and she could have continued after singing half a dozen numbers. She has excellent songs and puts everyone of them over in real artistic fashion. Closed very strong making a short speech of thanks. WALTER C. KELLY - (17 mins.) His first appearance here in sometime and, being a local man, was given a very warm reception. He has his usual routine of good stories and was a big laughing and applause hit. GUS EDWARDS' REVUE - (40 mins.) The same act we played here in the summer but it is in better shape, and was a big hit. Edwards works hard to get results and has able support from his company. Held down the spot fine and was called back for a long enchore that went over just as big. KATE & WILEY - (8 mins.) The best posing act of its kind we have ever played and in the closing position of a long show it brought big returns. PATHE NEWS - (5 mins.) A fairly good routine of pictures with two or three of excellent news value. GENERAL REMARKS - A very good Easter Week show that got off to a flying start with a capacity crowd Monday afternoon. The bill was well balanced, has plenty of comedy, song and color to it and played smoothly. It gave thorough satisfaction. -O-
