PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S APRIL 24th 2 FABLES & "TOPICS OF THE DAY" - (11 mins.) Pictures and "Topics" very good. Held close attention and got a lot of laughs. SIX HASSENS -(6 mins.) The first of these acts we have played in sometime and it did very well, giving the show a fast and satisfactory start. The usual routine of floor tumbling. MILLARD SIMPSON - (9 mins.) He sang "The Mikado" thirty-three years ago and repeated it here with a short introduction of his history with the Keith Circuit long ago. He sang two songs and was nicely received. OWEN MC GIVENEY - (18 mins.) A favorite here and he did just as well as ever despite the fact that he is still doing "Bill Sikes". HOLMES & LA VERE - (20 mins.) A big comedy hit. Open with a lot of clever talk, which got a lot of laughs and then go into songs and dances with piano music, handled in a novel manner brought big returns. "STARS OF YESTERDAY' - (26 mins.) These old-timers were a tremendous hit, especially with the old people in the audience and there were many of them. Every one of the artists were welcomed, scored individually and at the finish the audience applauded for a considerable time. Between this and the act following the film showing the growth of the B. F. Keith Theatres were shown and created a great deal of comment which could be distinctly heard as well as frequent out bursts of applause. JIM MC WILLIAMS - (16 mins.) This "nut" comedian put over a continuous laughing hit with his chatter and piano playing. They were still laughing when he left the stage. BLOSSOM SEELEY - (35 mins.) This is the best act she has given us and it went over in great shape holding down the headline position very satisfactorily. It is nicely staged and dressed and Miss Seeley and her company have some new songs. SWOR BROTHERS -(17 mins.) These black face boys repeated very well for us and held the next to closing spot fine. Their comedy got a lot of laughs and they finished to a good hand. WIRTH FAMILY - (14 mins.) The same big flash and unquestionably the greatest riding act in vaudeville. The new opening helps the picture and the rest of the act is one big riot of applause and laughs. PATHE NEWS -A fairly interesting lot of pictures this week. GENERAL REMARKS - There was plenty of old time atmosphere in this bill for Jubilee Week and while a little long was well balanced, containing a representative assortment of vaudeville and with the extra features that we had each night built up a big show. CUTS BLOSSOM SEELEY - Use of words "My God" HOLMES & LAVERE - Words "cock-eyed drunk"
