PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S MAY 15th, 2 B. F. KEITH'S THEATRE FABLES & TOPICS - (12 mins.) Fables very good. Got a lot of laughs. "Topics" were also very good. BREAKAWAY BARLOWS - (8 mins.) The first of this kind of an act we played in sometime and it gave us a very good opener, getting some laughs and closing to a good hand. JACK HANLEY - (12 mins.) A very good comedy juggler, doing a routine of catchy tricks and working in enough comedy to get plenty of laughs. Did very well. VINCENT O'DONNELL - (10 mins.) This boy did very well with a series of popular songs. His voice seems improved since the last time we played him and he registered a big hit. RICE & WERNER - (15 mins.) A big laughing hit. The act is very low comedy but it is well handled and kept our audience in a riot of laughs from start to finish. DEVOE & HOSFORD - (19 mins.) Their songs brought them plenty of applause and they finished with a big laughing hit with their burlesque comedy but. Their songs went particularly well and they held this spot very satisfactorily. JULIAN ELTINGE - (17 mins.) Always a big hit in this house and he repeated very well. He has one or two new songs and, as usual, wears a wonderful array of gowns. He scored solidly and was called upon for a little speech of thanks. J. FRANCIS COOLEY & CORINNE SALES - (24 mins.) They were just as big a hit as ever with about the same line of material. They have made a few changes in their stuff but very little and they managed to hold the next to closing spot in great shape. WILLIE HALE & BRO. - (10 mins.) Closing the show for us very satisfactorily with their clean-cut juggling. Have a good routine of showy stuff and present it very well. PATHE NEWS - (10 mins.) A good variety of pictures held quite a number of our audience seated until the finish. GENERAL REMARKS - This was a very satisfactory show surrounding a headliner who has popularity and drawing power, and despite warm weather it started off strong. As DeVoe & Hosford do a burlesque bit, one of them wearing women's clothes, this team was moved down back of Eltinge, changing places with Dooley & Sales after the first performance, and it formed a better combination. CUTS DeVoe & Hosford - Reference to Valeska Suratt.
