PHILADELPHIA B.F. KEITH'S June 12th, 2 FABLES & TOPICS OF THE DAY" - (15 mins.) Fables good. topics average fair. VAN CELLO & MARY - (9 mins.) A very good opener. The man does an excellent routine of foot tricks and the act is very attractively staged. THE LE GROHS - (6 mins.) Did very well, as usual. Both straight and comedy contortion work of the trio scoring. HARRY HOLMAN & CO. in "Hard Boiler Hampton" - (21 mins.) An excellent farce which repeated very well. Got a lot of laughs and finished to a big hand. WEAVER BROS. - (14 mins.) Changed a little since they played here last year but a very good musical novelty and went over in excellent shape. Closed to a good hand. PEGGY WOOD & CO. - (19 mins.) Being know known here for her work in musical comedy she was given a nice reception and at the finish was rewarded with a fairly good hand, but the act dragged badly and did not arouse much interest until the quartette joined with Miss Wood, when the voices helped considerably. The act, as a whole, did only fair. SENATOR" FORD - (12 mins.) A somewhat unusual monologist in his style of working and he has a very good line of material but whether it is because of his peculiar style he did not create much of a hit. His stuff is right up to date and got some laughs and he will probably improve. IMHOF, COREENE & CO. - (32 mins.) Got a lot of laughs, with the same old act. Closed strong. MANG & SNYDER - (5 mins.) Did very well in the closing position. Their tricks are all showy and well executed. PATHE NEWS - A good variety of pictures, the majority of which were very interesting. GENERAL REMARKS - A very good comedy bill but with the headliner doing just fair it gave the show a drag that made it seem slower than it really was. Senator Ford and the Weaver Bros. changed places after the first show and this helped. CUTS Harry Holman & Co. - ""hst the Hell".
