PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S JULY 10th 2 FABLES & TOPICS - Fables not as good as usual. "Topics" very good. WHEELER TRIO - 7 mins. - Palace in Four - Three men, neatly attired in a routine of ground tumbling; head and hand balancing, with comedy interspersed. Very good opener. HERMAN BERRENS - 13 mins. - Olio 1 - Opens with a special introductory lyric. Each number was appreciated and he registered a hit with his piano medlies. MARSHALL MONTGOMERY - 18 mins. - Spec. Drop in 3 - Assisted by Lucile De Haven, he is presenting his well known ventriloquial offerings, which kept the audience in good humor and closed to a big hand. THOMAS F. SWIFT & MARY H. KELLEY - 17 mins. - Olio 1 - Offering "Gumdrops", a familiar conversational and singing turn that is thoroughly entertaining and won favor with to-day's audience, closing to a very good hand. RUTH BUDD - 16 mins. - Spec. 1 & 3 - A hit. "OKLAHOMA" BOB ALBRIGHT - 17 mins. - Drapery in One - Songs and stories. His vocal numbers were well received; his stories made 'em laugh. FANNIE BRICE - 27 mins. - Spec. in 2 and cyc. in 3 - A reception on her entrance. A series of character songs that are classics. Her inimitable rendition of each number was rewarded with generous applause. Her comedy was greeted with hearty laughter. After her "My Man" number she was obliged to do two enchores and even then the audience was loathe to let her go. PEPITA GRANADOS - 14 mins.-Spec. 4 -2 - and 4. Assisted by Martha Valencia, Spanish Violinist and Edith May and Sonia Marens, dancers, in a novelty dancing act, consisting of Spanish dances, violin solos and Oriental dance numbers. Well staged and costumed and a very good act of its kind. Did very well in this position. PATHE NEWS - Interesting and instructive. GENERAL REMARKS - A diversified and highly entertaining bill that will undoubtedly give us a good week's business. CUTS FANNIE BRICE - Use of word "God". BOB ALBRIGHT - Words "My God". MARSHALL MONTGOMERY - "Jackasses"; "dirty stories" and "God".
