PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S July 31st, 2 FABLES & TOPICS OF THE DAY" - 12 mins. Fables amusing. "Topics" not up to the standard this week. WORDEN BROS. 8 mins. Garden in 3. A familiar offering consisting of music; ground acrobatics and foot juggling. A very good act of its kind and gave this show a good start. RUBY ROYCE - 7 mins. in One. Formerly of Rolls and Royce, using the same lyrics, talk and dance routine as the team. Did very well. ROBBINS FAMILY - 13 mins. in Palace in 4. Father and Mother and five children. Talking, singing, dancing, contortion and acrobatics. The opening talk and the singing is only fair but their contortion and acrobatic work provoke a storm of applause. CHARLES IRWIN - 18 mins. in One. The same act he has done heretofore. Was well received. JOSEPHINE & HENNING - 20 mins. Special Cyc. in 4. Each number in this dainty offering was liked and they closed to a very good hand. DEMAREST & COLLETTE - 20 mins. in 1. This well known couple scored their usual comedy hit. IRENE RRANKLIN - 26 mins. C. D. F. in 2. Sang her six special songs, which are programmed, and was obliged to do an enchore number. JACK DONAHUE - 17 mins. in One. His talk made them laugh and his dancing was accorded a generous hand. MELNOTTE DUO - 7 mins. Open in 1- Close Special Drop in 4. Open on the unsupported ladder; then do a good routine on the wire with comedy interspersed? Went well. PATHE NEWS - 10 mins. Very good. GENERAL REMARKS - This show played well and our matinee business is somewhat better than any Monday for the past three weeks. CUTS Robbins Family - Addressing audience as "women and bootleggers"; Omit story about dog. CHARLES IRWIN- Substitute word for "dirty work"; gad about driving up to Synogogue in a Ford. Line "I don't know where draught is coming from but I know where it's going." DEMAREST & COLLETTE - Words "Cockroach" and "Polecat"
