BOSTON SHOW WEEK AUGUST 22, '10. R. G. Larsen. (Monday afternoon.) WOOD BROTHERS. Irish athletes. 11 minutes in one. Very good opening act. Doing some work on the rings that is not startling but gets a good hand. Opened with a song this afternoon but we cut it. CHARLES MILLER. 16 minutes in one. Mr. Miller is a local favorite in stock companies, who will probably draw us some money. But it won't be on account of his monologue. MR AND MRS ESMOHDE. 20 minutes f.s. Somebody told me there was comedy in this act. Notwithstanding it got a very good hand at the close this afternoon, it is rather long drawn out and the comedy element entirely lacking. DUFF AND WALSH. 11 minutes in one. Singing and dancing. These boys make a splendid team of dancers. They are not as noisy as some we have had but their dancing is really good. Hade quite an impression here this afternoon. RICE, SULLY AND SCOTT. 7 minutes f.s. This comedy bar act could hardly be classed with the 3 Ernests or Stelling and Revelle, but it went very good in this spot to-day. GRANT AND HOAG. 22 minutes in one. A good line of material that hold the audience in good shape to-day. Miss Hoag as usual made an attractive appearance, although I have seen Alf Grant go even bigger when he worked alone. "THE LITTLE STRANGER." 15 minutes in 3. "Tis a pretty thing," but at least $200 overpaid. PRIMROSE FOUR. 16 minutes in one. This quartette caught on in good shape here to-day, and finished very big. ROSE PITONOF. 10 minutes f.s. This is Miss Pitonof's second week of diving and swimming here, and as about a dozen strong swimmers tried to duplicate her feat of two weeks ago and failed yesterday, she went as big if not bigger than ever. Is proving a very strong attraction for us.
