BOSTON SHOW WEEK AUGUST 29, '10. R. G. Larsen. (Monday night show.) SWAN AND BAMBARD. 16 minutes f.s. close in one. An all round good act with plenty of laughs. AL HAYNES AND JULIA REDMOND IN "THE CRITIC AND THE GIRL." 15 minutes f.s. It would make them laugh in the small time but is hardly up to the big standard. RICHARDS AND MONTROSE. 13 minutes in one. A very good singing and acrobatics turn for about this spot. ROSE PITONOF. 10 minutes f.s. Third week of this diving girl and going as big as ever. Her girlish appearance is one of her biggest assets. While her diving gets a good hand. QUINLAN AND [illegible] RICHARDS. 20 minutes in one. Quinlan has put some new stuff into his "Travelling Dentist," and with Vic Richards he has one of the best acts in one on the stage to-day. This afternoon we had them down next to closing but it was almost a riot. On account of the makeup of the bill, however, it was absolutely necessary to put them in this spot to-night and they went bigger than ever. ELEANOR GORDON AND THEODORE FRIEBUS IN A NEW COMEDY BY GRANK FER)GUSON CALLED "SWEET WIDOW MARIE." 20 minutes f.s. Both Miss Gordon and Mr. Friebus are great favorites here in Boston, but aside from that they are among the few [illegible] stock people who have made good in vaudeville. Miss Gordon being particularly strong on the comedy end. This sketch tells the story of a woman who gets into the wrong house and is mistaken for a female "Raffles." It was the first time on any stage and notwithstanding this fact went in good shape. The possibilities, however, when it is workedout and tuned up are good for a splendid comedy sketch. CHARLES SEMON. 20 minutes open and close in one. Semon also has a lot of new stuff and went as big as he ever did in this house. FOUR READINGS. 11 minutes f.s. This wellknown act got plenty of applause and is a sure winner. Good comedy bits. JOE HART'S BATHING GIRLS. 20 minutes practically f.s. as there is little time at either end of it to set. This is one of the best acts Mr. Hart has, a great novelty and the bathing scene at the finish is a decidedly commendable feature. COMMENT. Worked into a great show and capacity afternoon and evening tells the story.
