REPORT ON PROVIDENCE SHOW, WEEK OF SEPT. 12, 1910. Chas. Lovenberg, Mgr. This is quite a good show, but lacks the strength of the one we had last week and, with rather a frappe ausience, nothing seemed to make a particularly big hit. It will probably play better at subsequent performances. PAULINETTI & PIQUO Comedy Acrobatics and burlesque strong men. These men have not kept up with the procession and their act seems rather old fashioned. Hardly better than to open the show. 11 M. F. S. RAYMOND & HALL Young man and young woman, neat appearing and graceful, who do some clever dancing. A very nice little act for this spot on the bill. 10 M. in One. MILO BELDEN & CO In a comedy dramatic sketch by Leo Ditrichstein, "What's the Matter With Father?". I think fair is about as good as I want to say for this act. 18 Min. F.S. CARL RANDALL This boy reminds one of Laddie Cliff considerably and is quite clever on his own account. Went fairly well, but claims some trouble with the orchestra that was a handicap to his act. Only did ten minutes, altho credited as doing fifteen to seventeen in other cities. Expect him to be straightened out after another orchestra rehearsal. Act in One' FIVE ARMANIS I am afraid I will have to go on record as "knocking" a rival (?) operatic act. I think the Armanis are considerable of a bluff. There is not one first class voice in the company and the people are rather awkward, while the scenery is very shabby. They managed to get quite a little applause and I don't know that I have any great kick coming from the audience standpoint, but when I meet the composer of "Lucia", if we both go to the same place hereafter, I'm going to tell him what they did to his Sextette. 15 Min. Open F.S. Close in One. DANKMAR SCHILLER TROUPE Put in to replace Bird Millman, who met with an accident and did not appear. Well-known act which made good thoroughly. 13 Min. F.S. R. A. G. TRIO These boys did so well in an earlier spot that I moved them to this position. I consider it a mighty clever act. They sing ragtime songs as well as anyone I know. 17 Min. in One. CHIP & MARBLE The same big hit as last year. 28 Min. F.S. BARRY & WOLFORD With a new act that compares very well with their previous offerings. 17 Min. in One. TREAT'S SEALS An excellent act. They have some features that I do not remember that the other acts of the same kind presented. 13 Min. F. S. MOTION PICTURES O.K.
