BOSTON SHOW WEEK SEPTEMBER 12, '10, R. G. Larsen. Monday afternoon show. CHARBINO BROTHERS. 12 minutes f.s. A fair opening act. Get applause here and there but cannot be called strong except for the finish, a dive on the head, which is a bit of a novelty. WILLIAM J. COLEMAN. 12 minutes in one. This new monologuist did very well here to-day in a hard spot for a talking act. A little of his stuff is reminiscent, but he gets it over in very good shape. Held this spot as well as any talker we have had in some time. Would like to have an opportunity to put him further down on the bill, as I think he would fill in pretty far down. To-night good. ARMSTRONG AND CLARK. 19 minutes f.s. close in one. Doing their old act with some new songs. Was more of a hit on the singing and musical end than on the comedy, but got by in good shape to-day. FARNUM AND CLARK SISTERS. 17 minutes in one. A fair "3" act with which we are becoming so familiar. But I am afraid we have had so many of these that it is about time for a change. AMY RICARD AND LESTER LONERGAN IN "AN IDYL OF ERIN." 20 minutes f.s. This is a rather dainty sketch with a really good stage setting. Went very well this afternoon. Although it is one of those acts that needs good swift stuff before and after. ELFIE FAY. 14 minutes in one. Miss Fay worked up in very good shape this afternoon. Had a big finish with her "Belle of Avenue A" song. 'MODELS OF JARDIN DE PARIS." 27 minutes f.s. close in one. This is the second time this act has played here, and Henry, particularly was recognized by the audience. They warmed things up very well for a cold Monday afternoon. HERZOG'S HORSES. 17 minutes f.s. These are unquestionably the greatest animals we have ever had. The dancing of one of the horses this afternoon was nothing short of a hit.
