50 PITTSBURG, PA., GRAND OPERA HOUSE, SEPT. 5th, 1910. WALKER & STURM - Novelty comedy racket spinners and sensational gymnastic jugglers. 12 minutes, garden. This is a very good act and went well for us at every performance. We had them opening the show but I am sure they would make good almost any place on the bill MELANI FOUR - Instrumental and vocal music. 15 minutes, street. A much better act than Melani Trio. went very big with us. KARL EMMY'S PETS . Full stage, special. 17 minutes. A big improvement in this act. A big hit. LUCIANO LUCCA - Soprano and Baritone. 9 minutes, olio. An exceptionally good singing act with the novelty of double voice. Went very well for us. WM. FARNUM- "The Mallet's Masterpiece". F.S. Special, 25 min. This little sketch gives Mr. Farnum a chance to show his ability. His support is very ordinary. However, the act was a hit and I feel sure that Mr. Farnum is a good name for vaudeville. PAUL BARNES - Monologue and parodies. 18 minutes, street in one. Went very well with us. While he is not a big hit, he has always pleased our audiences. BIRD MILLMAN & CO. - Aerial Dancer. 12 minutes, F. S. Garden. This is undoubtedly the best wire act we have ever played at the Grand Opera House. Miss Millman met with an accident Monday night and was out of the bill for the balance of the week. However, the other lady in the act continued and did very well. MODELS OF THE JARDIN DE PARIS - 23 min., F.S. Special. I consider this a very ordinary act with one fair comedian and a very excessive salary. John P. Harris PITTSBURG, PA., GRAND OPERA HOUSE, SEPT. 12th, 1910. ADELE MCNEIL - Stories in song. 11 minutes, olio. Miss McNeil makes a very good appearance and has a pleasing act. Would not care to play her very late. About 8:30 is the place for her - in my opinion. JETERS & ROGERS - Comedy roller skaters. 10 minutes, F.S. Garden. Doing well. This can be classed as a good act. EMPIRE COMEDY FOUR 19 minutes, street. This is the third time we have played this act and they are going as well as ever. SIX MUSICAL CUTTYS - Full stage, palace. 26 minutes. The same classy act as always. BRICE & KING - Singing and dancing. Olio in one, 18 minutes. A new act to our house - very neat and a big hit. JOSSELYN TRIO - Aerial statuary, in black and white. Special, 9 min. Very ordinary. While their work is clever, their idea of presenting the act is not good and does not reach the audience. SWOR & MACK -Black face talking act. 16 minutes, street. The comedy of Mr. Mack is above the ordinary, especially his pantomime poker game. The act is going big. JOE HART;S BATHING GIRLS - 19 minutes, special. A good act with the bathing scenes a big hit. John P. Harris.
