REPORT ON PROVIDENCE SHOW, WEEK OF OCTOBER 3, 1910. Charles Lovenberg, Manager. The bill this week is an exceedingly good one. No doubt the best since the opening week and one that I feel will draw some business. Every act went particularly well with today's audience. FIELD BROS. Wooden shoe dancers, introducing their act in Black Face. There is quite as little novelty to this act which was thoroughly appreciated by those present. 10 min. in one. RITA REDFIELD Juvenile Impersonator. This young lady has quite a little ability as a singer and while she did not get a tremendous amount of applause, I think she was well liked. A good act for this spot. 15 min. in one. PERRY, THE FROG MAN Well Known contortionist who scored a big hit as he did last year. 12 min. special set. F. S. LEON ROGEE Imitator of musical instruments. Unquestionably the best in his line. Scored very strongly. 11 min. in one. ELIZABETH BRICE & CHAS. KING. Well known singing and dancing act. Made an unmistable hit. 20 min. in one. TOM NAWN. In his new sketch, "What Pat was King" A very funny act well played. Two special scenes full staged. 23 min.. DON PASQUALE This is my newest production and one in which I take the most pride. this is a condensation of a famous Grand Opera, but unlike most Grand Operas, the story is farcical. There is a large element of comedy which went well with the audience and which is well played by the actors. The music is most melodious and I am very proud of the four singers that render it. By the applause which was given this afternoon I will say that the act is a welcome addition to vaudeville. It contains the element so desirable nowadays called "class." I have spared no expense in mounting, giving it two beautiful sets and very handsome costumes. Today it ran 35 min. I intend to bring it down to 30 min., possibly a trifle less when it should go even stronger than it did. HOEY & LEE In their new act, "The Hebrew Policeman" which it seems to me is better than those they have given before. In this difficult position on the bill they scored the biggest kind of a hit. 18 min. in one. PEDERSON BROS. Comedy ring act, a big hit. 9 min. F. S. MOTION PICTURES O. K.
