BOSTON SHOW WEEK OCTOBER 3, '10. R. G. Larsen. (Monday afternoon.) MAXIMO. 9 minutes f.s. Very clever on the wire and got a good hand all through his act. Especially his drunken specialty and his dancing. HANSON AND BIJOU. 14 minutes in one. this is a fair act. Miss Hanson getting quite a number of laughs this afternoon. But it is not by any means as strong as her old act used to be. GORDON ELDRID AND COMPANY. 17 minutes f.s. We have played this act before, but this afternoon it went as well as ever. It is one of the best laughing sketches of the kind we have. BOWMAN BROTHERS. 16 minutes in one. They are doing pretty much the same act as last season. Getting by in great shape. "ENCHANTMENT." 20 minutes f.s. This illusion is now in very good shape and ought to be a feature on a bill anywhere. The groupings are worked out and some of the pictures are really beautiful. It is an improvement over the old living pictures from the fact that the audience is more or less mystified as to how the groupings appear and disappear. AL WHITE'S JOLLY JIGGERS. 12 minutes in one. This act hardly made good this afternoon in this spot. It was very evident that it needed a lot of rehearsing as the dancers did not work together and the whole performance was ragged. They have a rehearsal after the show and we expect better work to-night. I don't think it is a good act to go so far down on a bill. RUSSELL AND SMITH'S MINSTRELS. 30 minutes f.s. This act has five men working in blackface and a set showing a minstrel circle, which makes quite a front. The end men have a lot of minstrel gags, all of which are good and the three others are strong on voice. They held this spot on the bill in good shape this afternoon and a little further up they would be a great big hit. FRANK FOGERTY. 17 minutes in one. His stories are pretty much the same as when he last appeared here, but they caused as much laughter as ever. In fact, he had the audience going for fair. BELLCLAIRE BROTHERS. 8 minutes f.s. The best of the strong men acts. Made a big hit here this afternoon.
