REPORT OF COLONIAL, LAWRENCE, WEEK OF NOVEMBER 7, 1910. The Vander Koors - Grotesque Illusionists, made a good opening act. 11 min. full stage. Karl - Wizard of the One String. The music that he gets out of his one string cigar box instrument is wonderful, making a fine stage appearance himself and could go farther down on the bill and more than make good. Act made a hit. 14 min. in one. J. Arthur O'Brien and Co- in the farce "His Wife's Butler" a very good comedy sketch, full of funny situations. Three people full stage, went very good. 14 min. Arlington Four - singing and dancing messenger boys, went very big. 10 min. full stage. Agnes Scott and Henry Keane - presenting sketch "Drifting". The most beautiful stage setting we have ever had. The story is very interesting and has some good comedy situations, went very big. 17 min. full stage, own setting. Lydia Barry - in her new act, this is a very hard spot on my bill for a single woman, but Miss Barry got them from the start, her songs are of the right kind and well delivered She makes two changes of costume both of which are magnificent. The audience at the finish of act kept calling for more. Made a very big hit. 19 min. in one. (Miss Barry carries a young man accompanist for her songs with her. Dr. Herman - The man who tamed Electricity, his experiments are very interesting, but his comedy work on the subjects is what gets the audience, had them jumping out of their seats with the different situations he puts his subjects in,. big hit, and look for it to do some business for me. 17 min. full stage. Motion Pictures. O. K. John F. Adams, Critic.
