C. E. BARNS. PHILADELPHIA SHOW. NOV. 21, 1910. THREE NEVAROS. 8 min. F.S. This act is well known on the circuit. Two men and a woman, all working straight. Act is more in the nature of a "strong man" feature than acrobatic. It includes some new stunts that are immense and get a good hand from all parts of the house. The hand-to-hand dive from table, two barrels high, was especially applauded. Closed big. AL. WHITE'S "JOLLY JIGGERS." 12 min. in one. Three boys and three girls with two changes of costume. This act has improved immensely and is now one of the most lively and gingerly acts in vaudeville. They do a lot of steps that are entirely new, and kept the audience in constant applause. Closed very strong. E. FREDERICK HAWLEY, FRANCES HAIGHT & CO., "The Bandit." 23 min. F.S. Second appearance here. Very melodramatic and admirably acted throughout. Held the interest of the audience tensely right up to the close. Finished to a big hand. NEFF & STARR. 20 min. open and close in one. Same act as presented here before with "the greatest musician in the world" who does not play any instrument at all, and the vocalists whose work is fairly good and whose personality is pleasing. Have a good line of jokes and general comedy stuff as well as selection of songs. Closed fairly well. EDWARD F. REYNARD. 16 min. F.S. Makes a very effective entrance with the automobile, and opens his act with some new stuff that is very amusing indeed. In fact, his whole act is full of fun and surprises that get all parts of the house. Laughter and applause throughout and a strong close. McINTYRE & HEATH. "The Georgia Minstrels." 43 min. open in one, close F. S. This well known act is certainly a scream from start to finish. Received a big advance hand and held the interest throughout, sometimes the audience stopping the show with laughter and applause. Lives up to the headline billing and will certainly draw money to the house, as it is one of those acts that can be seen many times and enjoyed quite as much with every repetition. A smashing close. EDWARDS, VAN & TIERNEY. 18 min. in one. Two men work straight and one at the piano. The boys certainly know how to get a song over in great shape. Both have good voices and personalities, and the pianist is an exceptional as an accompanist. The song called "The Piano Man" is a gem of its kind. One of the best vocal acts we have ever played here. HOWARD'S PONIES. 17 min. F.S. This is an excellent closing feature. Man and woman make a fine appearance, work the animals--six ponies and as many trained dogs. Act in every way showman-like, and the animals' tricks not only show excellent training but considerable comedy. A great children's feature. KINETOGRAPH. "A Trip to the Isle of Jersey." A very picturesque travel series. "A Cold-Storage Romance." A fairly good comedy film. The new Daylight Motion Pictures are being talked about and the regulars are waiting for them in larger numbers than previously, which shows that they are appreciated. GENERAL REMARKS. This is a good show throughout with abundance of comedy and good sight acts for the Holiday Week.
