C. E. BARNS. PHILADELPHIA SHOW. DEC. 5, 1910. GREY & PETERS. 11 min. F.S. Makes an excellent opener. Boys are swift and expert in their work, and get constant applause for difficult feats. One works straight, the other clown comedy. The comedy is also all right. Closed very well. CARBREY BROTHERS. 9 min. in one. A local dancing act that has made good here before, and certainly did so today. Advance hand and some applause during difficult steps. Closed well. GORDON ELDRID & CO. 18 min. open in one. Well known on the circuit. A very amusing act which kept the crowd convulsed all the way through and right up to a smashing finish. LEW HAWKINS. 18 min. in one. A new line of material, including parodies and amusing patter. Kept the audience in good humor, receiving frequent laughter and applause, and closed big. One of the best in the business. PEDERSEN BROS. 8 min. F.S. One man works straight, the other clown comedy. Their feats on the flying rings got good hands, and the Pedersen trick on the perpendicular bar got immense applause. Closed very strong. CHARLES SEMON. 19 min. open and close in one. Well known on the circuit. Gave his usual comedy and musical act with some variations. Received liberal applause and closed very well. TOM NAWN & CO. "When Pat Was King." 25 min. F.S. Advance applause. Tom Nawn is very well known here, and his work is highly appreciated. The play went with its usual interest, and received liberal applause. Finished strong. EVA TANGUAY. 30 min. in one. Miss Tanguay was in fine spirits today and certainly gave a ripping performance to a big house which had come to welcome her. She sang six songs, each one seeming to be better received than its forerunner. The songs are admirable in themselves, and are perfectly suited to her individual talents. The song called "Money" is a gem, and her tossing new pennies into the audience during the chorus was quite a sensation. Whether it was a song, a dance or a recitation, the applause was immense from all parts of the house, and her encore, "I Don't Care," closed her act with unbounded enthusiasm. Miss Tanguay is certainly better than ever, which is saying everything flattering of this rare artiste and popular favorite. PAUL SPADONI. 19 min. F.S. A very novel juggling feature, requiring more dexterity than the regulation strong man act. Each one of the feats got good applause, and the booby comedian with Spadoni is very good, helping to give the act additional interest. Closed very well. KINETOGRAPH. "The Aviation Meet at St. Louis," showing Col. Roosevelt making his first flight and the late Ralph Johnston doing daring stunts in a biplane. A mighty interesting and timely series. GENERAL REMARKS. This is certainly some show, and no mistake. Every act went like wildfire, and, of course, Tanguay was great. It certainly looks like capacity business for the balance of her engagement if the house and the enthusiasm are my criterion. Music Hall Pawtucket R. I. Dec. 5th 1910 Three days Dec. 5--6--7-- MASON & MURRAY Man and woman, singing and talking act, 15 minutes in one singing not bad act just went fair [GRIMMINS?] & GORE Man and woman eccentric Comedy sketch, couple of songs good comedy, specila set scenery, went well. 18 minutes CITY COMEDY FOUR Comedy Quartette, lot of slap stick comedy. 18 minutes in one, a scream all the time, went big.
