Report of PROVIDENCE SHOW, Week of December 5, 1910. Chas. Lovenberg, Manager. The show as a whole gave satisfaction, although only a few acts made real hits with the afternoon crowd. I think it was rather a frapped audience and I am under the impression that the show will go stronger tonight. THE GREAT RICHARDS This is an act that is really too good to open the show, but as the bill was reconstructed after he was booked, it was about the only thing possible. He gives splendid value and was a decided surprise to the audience when he showed them he was a man. He is one of the few acts that some agent has not boosted before now and really, I don't see how he carries all of his trappings, electrician, etc. with the salary he gets. 10 Min. F. S. LYNCH & ZELLAR Rapid fire club jugglers. This is a corking good act and reached the audience, not so much by what they do as in the manner they do it. A good live act that could go further down the bill. 10 Min. in One. EDWARD de CORSIA & CO. This act is all right to play in an early spot on the bill. It is original and unusual in its make-up and gets quite a lot of laughs. The people are entitled to credit for the production they have made and at the salary, no one can go very far off. 18 Min. F. S. HARRY BREEN Well-known impromptu singer, who went about as well as usual. 15 Min. in One. THE GEISHA GIRLS There is not a great deal in the act itself, but it is beautifully mounted and cannot help being interesting to intelligent people. It is a sort of a thing that will draw a little money in the house. 11 Min. F. S. LAWRENCE & FITZGERALD A very pretty Irish talking and singing act. The woman is decidedly clever, the man has a beautiful voice and they pleased the audience decidedly. An act that is all right to play anywhere in the middle of a bill. 20 Min. in One. MACLYN ARBUCKLE & CO. Mr. Arbuckle's act has been described before and I am pleased to say that it is one of the best sketches we have ever played and made a most distinct hit with the audience. Will no doubt draw money. 30 Min. F. S. EDWARDS, VAN & TIERNEY This is a return date of these boys this season, but that their re-appearance was welcomed was proven by the great amount of advance applause which greeted them on their entrance, and their hit was just as big as on their last engagement. I consider them the best singing male trio of the lot. 15 Min. in Two, close in One. SAMMY WATSON'S FARMYARD Well-known animal act. A few new touches. The entire act meeting with approval. 20 Min. F. S. MOTION PICTURES O. K.
