HUDSON THEATRE, UNION HILL, N.J.    JOHN C. PEEBLES.
Week of December 12, 1910.
THE TORLEYS, Novelty Cyclists.
Man and woman in as good a "straight" bicycle act as is to be found in vaudeville. Both of good appearance and are to be complimented for the neat way in which their act is dressed. Their routine is entertaining and applause was frequent throughout. A good enough opening act for any show in the country and could go further down on the bill and command attention. Garden in 4. Time 12 min.
THE 3 SYLVESTERS, Singing, dancing and boxing skit.
This act is well known locally and each member of the team got a reception upon their entrance. They introduce a little Irish comedy, some singing and dancing, a couple of minutes on the flying rings and close with a burlesque boxing match between the father and Master Larry, a 5 year old prodigy. Act went well in this spot but, in my opinion, is a good small-time offering. Open and close in 1, Time 17 min.
ARCHER & CARR, Novelty Entertainers.
A very pleasing and entertaining act between man and woman that went particularly well with our audience today. They have a good line of material and their closing song takes them off to generous applause. Act should prove a pleasing feature in this spot on any program. Olio in 1. Time 15 min.
LEWIS MC CORD & CO., "Winning on Wind" 5 people.
This is a very amusing comedy sketch that had our audience laughing incessantly from the start. Think it one of the best things McCord has ever done and act should prove a big laughing feature on any bill. C.D.Fcy in 3. Time 22 min.
THE GRECIAN DANCING GIRLS with Sybil Maitland.
I had serious doubts about this act registering today as our people have not been educated up to the barefoot dancing standard. I am pleased to announce that the act went over in very good shape at the matinee, the various dances being well applauded and there being four good curtain calls at the finish. Never have I seen a better looking lot of young girls in any ensemble act. One of them in particular caught the fancy of the audience and nearly everyone was talking about her ravishing beauty as they left the theatre. The dances are modestly performed and at no time is there a display of the human figure that could possibly offend anyone. The act is a bright, vivid, intense, gorgeous chromatic dispersion of light and color that should appeal to the artistic sense of intelligent people. For a first performance the act went very smoothly but will be much better before the end of the week. Mrs. Alex. Comstock, under whose direction the act was produced, is to be complimented for the splendid manner in which she has staged the production. Own set in 4. Time 27 min.
JACK LEWIS & HARRY CASEY, A couple of nifty talk-swappers.
The old Wynne & Lewis act with some new material that landed in great shape today and held this spot admirably. Made a big hit. Street in 1. Time 15 min.
MARTINETTI & SYLVESTER, The Boys with the Chairs.
Closing one of the best shows of the season with a hurrah. Garden in 4. Time 8 min.
