REPORT OF COLONIAL, LAWRENCE, WEEK OF JANUARY [3? 8?], 1911. Dennis Bros. - acrobatic work on revolving ladder. Their acrobatic work on ladder very good, balancing on ladder gives thrilling effect on audience, made a great opening act. 7 min. full stage. Laura Buckley - comedy character impersonations of a Manicurist, Old Man, Amateur Performers, and demonstrator, makes her changes from her own table stage which adds novelty to the act. Went very good in this spot. 13 min. in one. Will H. Rogers, Goldie St. Clair & Co. - in their western lasso and broncho act. Rogers rope throwing and rope dancing very good. Claire's broncho riding very daring, the act all the way through very exciting and went very big. Rogers has three people in the act besides four horses. The best act of tits kind we have ever had and causing a lot of talk. 16 min. full stage. Hal Merritt - talking and whistling cartoonist. A novelty and took very good. 18 min. in one. W. H. Murphy, Blanche Nichols & Co. - presenting "The School of Acting" without a doubt the greatest laughing act we have ever had, their comedy is away from everyone elses and knocked them out of their seats. Seven people in the act. A very big hit. 28 min. full stage. Ben Welch - Hebrew character comedian, caught on from the start and went very big all the way through. 19 min. in one. Fitzgerald's 8 Juggling Girls - Eight very neat appearing girls doing some very clever club juggling with Fitzgerald. Went good. 10 min. full stage. Motion Pictures. - O. K. John F. Adams, Critic
