REPORT ON COLUMBUS SHOW FOR WEEK OF JAN. 2, 1911. W. W. Prosser. [ERGOTTI?} & LILLIPUTIANS: This well known act made a fine opener, gaining attention at the very beginning, winning applause all the way through and finishing strong. 10 minutes, palace in 4. IRENE ROMAINE: Pianologist, who makes a very nice appearance, puts her songs over in a winning manner, and who thoroughly established herself as a favorite. Finished strong. 12 minutes, olio in 1. THREE LEIGHTONS: In "A One Night Stand in Minstrelsy". This act acquired attention at the opening, held it all the way through and finished strong. 18 minutes; opened C. D. F., closed in 1. MAXIM'S MODELS: These reproductions of famous paintings were accorded a hearty welcome, each and every picture winning liberal applause. Thoroughly satisfactory. 15 minutes, special in 4, picture drop in 1. ALBERT HOLE: English Boy Soprano. Made a favorable impression, his various numbers being well received. Finished moderately strong. 8 minutes, olio in 1. TOM NAWN & CO.: 2 men and 2 women in "When Pat Was King". Scene opens showing Pat as servant, goes to royal tent in Ireland, A. D. 968, finishes in same set as opening. The story of Pat eating the lotus plant and dreaming himself King of Ireland is very well worked out. There were a lot of laughs throughout. The act seemed to please in every way and gained a good round of applause at the finish. 28 minutes, special in 5. MARSHALL P. WILDER: Slight reception upon entrance and good laughter in many spots. All of his stories seemed to please and held the attention, particularly after he announced that he would tell a few of the old ones. Proved to be very entertaining and gained a good round of applause at the finish, taking two or three bows. 14 minutes, special drop in 1. ONETTI SISTERS: Four exceedingly good-looking young women who introduce an excellent routine of trapeze and ring work. Everything is clean-cut, the unusual, good appearance of the young women greatly improving the value of the act. Every trick gained applause and they finished strong. 9 min., garden in 5. MOVING PICTURE: "Love in Quarantine", O. K. Music Hall Pawtucket R. I. 3 days Jan. 5--6--7 PHIL BENNETT Straight singing act Italian costume 8 minutes in one, good singer, went well Miss THOMA & Broncho Riding act same as first three days goes very good WARD & REGINIA SISTERS Singing, dancing and talking, very ordinary act, just went fair 10 minutes in one David R Buffinton
