Report of PROVIDENCE SHOW, Week of January 9, 1911. Chas. Lovenberg, Manager. This is a mighty good show of high grade, the kind of a bill that is most appealing to our audience. Everything went well. A number of the acts making decided hits. THOMA and her Snow White Horse, "INDIAN CHIEF" This is a manege act by a very pretty young girl on a white horse. The act is well mounted with plush curtains, etc. and is a splendid investment. Could hold a much more important spot on the bill. 10 Min. F. S. TOM MAHONEY Irish songs and stories. Mr. Mahoney did fairly well at the afternoon performance, but decided he did not like to go on so early and therefore with-drew from the bill. His hit was not so great that I asked him to remain, therefore, we are going to struggle along the best we can without Mr. Mahoney's assistance. The Jack Irwin Duo are to replace him tomorrow. THE KRATONS Hoop-rollers. The act has been decidedly improved and the novelty of its presentation makes it now unquestionably the best hoop-rolling act in the business. 12 Min. F. S. COOK & STEVENS The Chinee and the Coon. Went very strongly indeed. 16 Min. in One. "A NIGHT IN A TURKISH BATH" This act met with marked approval, the comedy getting over well and the songs going immensely. It is well staged. Being an act that is most unusual it is decidedly welcome. 25 Min. F. S. TEMPEST & SUNSHINE Two young girls who repeated the hits that have been credited to them in other cities. 17 Min. in One. Lester LONERGAN & Amy RICARD A most beautiful irish sketch, excellently played, which pleased most decidedly. 22 Min. F.S. LYONS & YOSCO As always, the big hit of the bill. 18 Min. in One. SEBASTIAN MERRILL & CO. Comedy Bicycle act, including some thrilling tricks, as well as ludicrous ones. A very good act. 15 Min. F. S. DAYLIGHT MOTION PICTURES Offered for the first time here. A marked improvement over the old style Motion Pictures and an innovation that is most pleasing to the audience. In addition to the lights being up, the picture itself is decidedly better than the old ones heretofore presented.
