BOSTON SHOW, WEEK JANUARY 30, 1911. R. G. Larsen. (Monday night.) WOODS & WOODS TRIO. 13 minutes f.s. This is a very good opening act with fair comedy. The wire work of the girl is particularly good. THE KEMPS. 15 minutes in one. Doing a new act and getting away with it in this spot in great shape. BILLIE BURKE'S WILD WEST. Second week. 20 minutes f.s. In an early spot in the bill the comedy of it gets away in good shape. Went well at both performances to-day, although the lariat thrower was a little off. The girl who rides the bucking broncho had a narrow escape to-night. LUCAS & FIELDS. 14 minutes in one. This act was somewhat of a disappointment. In fact, Lucas did very much better when he played here alone several years ago. The girl is excess baggage, amateurish, and the character of his stuff is not at all desirable. Might be a good act for an early spot at a much lower figure than they ask. MATHEWSON & MYERS. 27 minutes f.s. This act more than came up to expectations to-day. The fans were out in force this afternoon, and aside from the names the act is good in itself and is a hit on its merits. DAYLIGHT PICTURES. 4 minutes. Still a novelty and really good picture of seal fishing. Held the audience in good shape. PIANOPHIENDS. 24 minutes f.s. This act has gone back and has a somewhat frowsy appearance. Did not make anything like the impression it did when previously presented at this house. MAX HART'S DANCERS. 13 minutes in one. Filled this spot in good shape. Is good value for the money. CHARLES AHEARN TROUPE. 12 MINUTES F.S. A scream from beginning to end. CUTS. Pianophiends - cut last verse of "Got to be someone I love" and modify "Pensacola mooch." Jimmy Lucas - cut "full house" joke. cut "pockets in her pants." cut reference to Casey Jones. cut "Damn."
