REPORT OF COLONIAL, LAWRENCE, WEEK OF JAN. 30, 1911. John F. Adams, Critic. Anita Diaz's Trained Monkeys - this is a very good animal act, the monkeys are well trained and do some very good tricks. Act went only fair. 11 min. full stage. Patsy Doyle - "Comedian" Doyle did not seem to catch on with afternoon audience and only just got by. I am going to change his position tonight to see if it will help the act any. Geo. Bloomquest Players - presenting "Nerve" a good comedy sketch with some very funny situations. Went good. 19 min. full stage. Rita Redfield - Juvenile Impersonator. a clever little girl. Went big. 14 min. in one, own drop. Mme. Besson and Co. - in the sketch "The Woman who Knew" the most dramatic playlet we have had. Mme. Besson made a pronounced hit in her character, her supporting company very good. Act made a big hit. 21 min. full stage. Quinlan and Richards - "The Traveling Dentist" wen good. 25 min. in one. Own drop. The Castrillians - their casting, tumbling and statue building fine, went very big. 10 min. full stage. Motion Pictures. O. K. Patsy Doyle- I put Doyle down fourth for the night show and he went very much better, I shall leave him there for the remainder of the week.
