^[42] REPORT OF B. F. KEITH'S THEATRE, CINCINNATI, O. Week of Apr. 20th, 1913. John F. Royal SEELY & WEST: 13 min. F. S. C. D. F. Two men in a musical act, with a little talk. Very poor. Would hardly be tolerated in a picture house. Got nothing throughout their act, and not a hand clap at the finish. MILWAUKEE. MLLE. LUCILLE'S TALKING PARROT: 10 min. F. S.-C. D. F. Weak closing act, so move to this spot. Parrot did not work well. When she would ask him to talk, he would whistle; when she would ask him to whistle, he would squawk. He did do the turkey trot well, and imitated the cornet. The only word that could be understood was a "Yes". When this parrot works right, if ever, it might be worked up to a good act, but judging form his appearances so far here, the act will be an awful drawback for the rest of the week. MILWAUKEE. ARTIE MEHLINGER: 10 min. in one. Bright and lively singer of popular songs; full of life and ginger, and knows how to put his numbers over. A tremendous hit. INDIANAPOLIS. KINETOPHONE:: 12 min. Subjects: "When the Worm Turns" - Many laughs "The Master Mind". - Very interesting. With the exception of the weak voice of woman, this record proved a splendid one. FLORENTINE SINGERS: 20 m in. F. S., 4 min. Close in one - Special. A pleasing singing act with some excellent voices, presenting repertoire of popular operatic [geme?] Went very strong. The audience enjoyed them immensely, and they got a splendid closing. NEW YORK. HARRISON ARMSTRONG PLAYERS: 18 min. in two. Man and woman in pleasing comedy dramatic playlet entitled "Squaring Accounts". A frefreshing little sketch that won much favor or. Nothing very big about it. but just clean and cute. A big finish. INDIANAPOLIS. CARSON & WILLARD: 17 min. in one, special drop. German comedians. Went over great. Their talk is same as on previous visits, but their new parodies were nonsense. Many encores, Strong finish. Much bigger than last visit. PHILADELPHIA. EDWARDS DAVIS: 29 min. F. S. (Special). Well known artist, supported by a brilliant company, in "The Kingdom of Destin
