B. F. KEITH'S UNION SQUARE THEATRE CRITICISM WEEK JUNE 2nd, 1913. BROWN BROTHERS Two young chaps in full dress, with some talk, piano playing, singing and comedy roller skating, which started the show off in splendid manner. Good opener. Thirteen minutes in two, can work in one. MARIE FENTON Just the same as ever. Good voice and splendid selections. Could go down further on any bill and hold her own. Thirteen minutes in one. JULIA NASH & COMPANY Presenting the comedy, "Her First Case". Very interesting, novel and with plenty of laughs. Got over in good shape. Fifteen minutes full stage. RAY CONLIN Ventriloquist. A young man making a very neat appearance, with a bright line of talk and a good voice, and scored many laughs. A splendid act at the price. Seventeen minutes in one. ZERTHOS' DOGS Clown Zerthos' Dogs of all Nations. Rather disappoint in this act, as it did not come up to expectations. It is good in spots but rather long and tiresome, with an occasional laugh. Nineteen minutes, full stage. ANGELO PARTICOLO This man has been for the past season the leading Piano-Soloist feature of Mme. Mordica's Trans-Continental Tour. He plays three classic selections. One would naturally suppose the Fourteenth Street element would not take to this fellow, but they simply devoured his work and wanted more. He is a hit at every performance and I personally think he has every other pianist beaten to a stand-still. Fourteen minutes in one. MABELLE ADAMS and Company, which consists of two men, in a one act playlet, called, "The Idyl of the Strings". The theme, of course is wound around Miss Adams in order to show her as a violinist. The story is light threaded, purely dramatic, a little pathos and an occasional laugh. It is received fairly well, but would prefer her other playlet. Seventeen minutes, full stage. THREE STANLEYS Described in previous reports. Only need to say they were one of the hits of the show. Seventeen minutes, open in one, finish full stage. CONROY & LE MAIRE In "The New Physician", the one big laughing hit of the show and the only act on the program that can hold the house until the finale. Twenty-two minutes, open in one, close full stage. THE TALKIES The Six Cylinder Elopement.
