B. F. KEITH'S THEATRE, CINCINNATI, OHIO. Week of Sept. 21st, 1913. John F. Royal. SELBINI & GROVINI 10 Min. F.S. Garden. Man and woman in acrobatic act. This is old and is nothing new. Made a very dull opening. Louisville MORTON & ELLIOTT 10 Min. in One. Two men in a so called musical and paper cutting act. This act is of the vintage of 1812. Their material is time worn and the act is not strong enough for our show. The only thing that got them a hand was the tearing of the paper. Similar acts in abundance have been seen here in all the five and ten cent theatres. Indianapolis LANCTON LUCIER & CO. 18 Min. F.S. C.D.F. 3 min. close in One. Two men and a woman in well known act. They got big laughs all the way through and closed strong. Open FRANCIS MCGINN & CO. 20 min. F.S. Dark Libr. Three men in dramatic act dealing with grafting of the police force. Attempt on part of official to see whether patrolman would become a grafter. This is the fourth dramatic act in four weeks. While striking a popular chord, it is a trifle inconsistent, but proves interesting here. McGinn is clever and the act went over in good shape. He uses the word "Hell", but to cut it would kill the entire act. Louisville HICKEY BROS. 9 min. in one special. Three boys acrobatic dancing, one man doing comedy. They open with dance and the rest of their act is acrobatic tumbling. This kind of an act slowed the show up at this point. They got some laughs and applause during their act, but their close was very light. With the exception of Lancton, Lucier & Co., there had been no life to the show up to this point. Wheeling, W. Va. CECIL LEAN 20 min. F.S. C.D.F. (This act can be made to do three minutes in one, if necessary) Two men and a woman in a novel singing act. Mr. Lean got advance hand, and act was very pleasing. Because of the full show preceeding him, Mr. Lean's task was not as easy as it might have been. His Tela-phony song went big, also burlesque on talking pictures. This act was the best liked on the bill. Indianapolis BALL & WEST 23 min. in One. Street. Two men, one as Grand Army Veteran and the other working straight, in a rattling good talking act. On another bill this act would have gone much bigger. Audience laughed throughout the entire act, and the novelty of it held their attention. It closed very light Sunday night, but went big Monday afternoon and evening. (This act did not appear at the Matinee because of lost trunks) Cleveland THREE MELVINS 8 min. F.S. Garden. Three men in the third acrobatic act on the bill. This is a great act and went strong. Pittsburg CUTS. Story about Mrs. Jones will sing "Asleep on a Bed of Roses, etc." by Cecil Lean.
