6 Report of Providence Show, Week of Sept. 15, 2902. Show as a whole is quite good although some of the early acts are rather weak. Hits were made by the Three Malanis, Stuart Barnes, and Wormwood's monkeys. The Nobles act went very well also. Stereopticon, usual collection of pictures. J. Warren Keene, 3 shows in one, 11 min., Ball and Card Manipulator. Not a very good act, in fact worked so clumsily that one could detect nearly all the tricks. Althea Twin Sisters, 3 shows in one, 7 min. Acrobats and Dancers. Their act is very bad up to the time they begin their Acrobatic work, which is pretty fair for women. Might be called fair act if it were not so short. Tom Moore, 3 a day act, 12 min. in one, 3 shows. A white man who sings coon songs nearer like a negro than any one we have had. Ford and Cantwell, 3 shows 14 min. in 1. A very good act From a 3 a day standpoint. Fairly good voices and harmonize well, and their story telling is not bad. Eccentric dancing at the finish made quite a hit. The Three Barretts, 14 min.,full stage, 3 shows. Comedy club jugglers. Another very good 3 a day act. There juggling with straw hats being somewhat of a novelty. Albert L. Guille, 7 min. in one, 2 shows. Operatic tenor No doubt about the fact that he has gone by, his voice begins to show age, and his act is so short it is of little value. Milton and Dolly Nobles, 35 min., full stage, 3 shows. "Why Walker Reformed" The revival of this act is a wise move on his part, and is undoubtedly the best sketch they have had, Pleased the audience highly this afternoon. The Three Melanis, 17 min. in one, 2 shows. This is the big hit of the show. While the violinist of the trio is not as good as that of the Three Dumands, the whole act is better and contains more variety. It is the best musical act I know of, of its kind. The Four Garganys. 12 min., palace set, 2 shows. Comedy Acrobatic Act, and a very good but our people do not go strong or answer that kind here, so did not make the hit they made in the other houses. Stuart Barnes, 30 min. in one, 2 shows. This man shows wonderful improvement in his work and can now easily be classes the very best monologuist in the business. Made a decided strong impression. Wormwood's Dogs and Monkeys, 30 min., full stage, 2 shows. This is also in my mind the best act of its kind as the animals seem to have no fear of the trainer. There is so much comedy in the act that it will be the drawing card for the week. Biograph. Good collection of views.
